I had no idea how powerful this prayer would be

Hello Everyone,

I started the week with a simple prayer that would turn out to be so powerful.

I received a call from my husband while I was working in the Emergency Room. All I heard was that our oldest daughter was hit by a car. I threw away the phone in disbelief. I can vaguely remember that my co-workers wanted to know what happened and all I could remember to do was ...breathe... I felt a dark coldness hit the pit of my stomach my hands couldn not stop shaking ....I checked my phone and saw a missed call from her and also a text message to call because it was urgent.

I stumbled my way outside the ER to get a better phone reception...I heard her saying "Mommy I am ok. I don't think anything is broken...we are waiting for the x-rays.

I wanted to drive the 2 hrs to go and just hold my 20 year old baby girl. I wanted to make it all better because that is what mothers do. We kiss the boo boos and make them better.

Her Dad spoke to the EMS and they explained the situation to him. He was clear about the situation and I was not. Not his fault because he too was scared and felt helpless.


In my haste ...I heard "SHE WAS HIT BY A CAR" ............but..... she is ok......never made it to my ear.

To wrap things up......

She was able to walk away from it and live to tell the story.

She said "Mommy the car came out of now where.....I just thank God to be alive and be able to talk about it ".

P.S As parents we did ask all the questions to make sure she was paying attention and not distracted while walking on her College Campus...

The Holy Spirit leads us to pray because we don't always know what to pray. God knows what we have need of before we even ask and He prepares us for those things to come even though we may not be able to see it coming down the road. He had you post that prayer for you in order to increase your faith as well as those you share it with. He is so faithful to us His children. He is truly worthy to be praised and worshipped.
